Fanning The Flames (Going Down in Flames #4) by Chris Cannon (Review)

         The fourth book in the Going Down in Flames series, Fanning the Flames continues the political drama from the previous novels. Bryn is a dragon. She is a hybrid dragon that is the grandchild of one of the most politically powerful and rich dragons in their entire society. With rebel uprisings comping left and right, she must fight for the lives of her friends, as well of herself. She doesn't have to do this alone though since she has her handsome knight to work alongside her... or riding her back. That and with the  politics of the dragons worked being hostile, she has a lot to handle. 

          I was not a fan of Fanning the Flames. This series has really been going down hill with constant relationship drama and little real back bone in the main character when it comes to her life. For multiple books she has bent over backwards to do what her grandparents tell her, even when it actively makes her miserable and ruins her chances of a happy future. Its ridiculous and agitating to read. I just want to slap some sense into Bryn. I think I'm done with this series. I don't want to read through more of her petty drama and weak backbone. Overall, I give Going Down in Flames the rating of THREE OUT OF FIVE STARS!!!

Trial By Fire (Going Down in Flames #3) by Chris Cannon (Review)

    The third installment of the Going Down in Flames series, Trail by Fire continues the tale of Bryn the teenage hybrid dragon. Faced with the oppressive culture and governing body of the dragon population, Bryn tries to blend into her new culture, without being assassinated. To aid her in that endeavor is her own personal, attractive, and magical knight. With him on her side, she will navigate the political world full of danger, murder and magic.
    Overly political, boring, slow, Trial by Fire was my least favorite novel in the series. It seems as if the strong, independent and interesting girl from the other novels seems to have killed off and replaced with a cowardly normal person. She wasn't all terrible, but she was missing that spark I had loved so much in her from before. Although highly political, there was some genuinely cute romantic scenes. Bryn and her knight were a cute couple and had some good romantic tension going on. The romance was good, but not good enough to make up for such a dull and political plot. I give Trial by Fire TWO AND A HALF STARS OUT OF FIVE!!!

Bridges Burned (Going Down in Flames #2) by Chris Cannon (Review)

   In this awesome sequel to Going Down in Flames, the epic story of dragons and action continues. As a hybrid, Bryn stands against the order of a dictator like government. She is supposed to be impossible, or so they say.  In this roller coaster ride of a novel, the readers rise and fall with Chris' beautifully crafted sarcastic creation of Bryn as a character. This amazing story transports readers into an amazing world, leaving them unable to put down the book for a second. Bridges Burned is not chock full of action sequences, but when they happen they leave the reader satisfied. In this sequel the reader gets more information and development for the Rebellion mentioned a bunch in Going Down In Flames, but leaving enough that the reader is eager for more, and for the next novel in the series, and you know, dragons.
   I have to say, my favorite part of the novel was definitely Bryn's knight. His perfection left me, as a reader, swooning. His reactions to Bryn and her troubles were the cutest thing ever. I l love this series and totally recommend both Going Down In Flames and Bridges Burned and give Bridges Burned FOUR AND A HALF OUT OF FIVE STARS!

Going Down in Flames (Going Down in Flames #1) by Chris Cannon (Review)

    Simply epic. I love the world of dragons and magic Chris Cannon weaves. I was captivated and want nothing more then to be a dragon myself and jump into the story with the characters. Bryn has just been sucked into a world that was supposed to be impossible, where her very existence was supposed to be impossible. She is a dragon, but not just any dragon, she is a half breed. She is a half red and half blue dragon. She has control over the elements of ice and fire. She has to face a governmental system and a culture that hates her for her very existence. This epic tale of fire and magic, you get sucked in and captivated. With its action and romance, Going Down in Flames is a must read. I, obviously, definitely recommend Going Down in Flames and give it the rating  FOUR AND A HALF STARS OUT OF FIVE!
