The Queen's Rising by Rebecca Ross (Review)

Sometimes, its truly hard to decide what you want do you with your life and career. Nobody knows this better than Brienna. She wants to be a Passion, but cannot settle if she should be art, music, knowledge, dramatics or wit. She's what would be call a jack of all trades, master of none. And to top it off, there is a mystery revolving around her unknown father that just might be the death of her. If she does not find out the truth and and keep her own secrets at the same time, it could cause an war between the kingdoms.
I really enjoyed The Queen's Rising. It exceeded my expectations and was incredibly interesting. For the sake of not wanting to ruin any of it, I made my description in the paragraph above to give away the least of the interesting details of the story, your welcome ;). I was fairly impressed with the way that the plot kept me interesting with mysteries large and small. From huge things like the identity of her father is to small things like what her passion robe will look like. Brienna herself was a well developed and interesting character. She was not power hungry or destined for the limelight, but she fights for whats good and whats right anyway, it was quite refreshing. In the end, I recommend Queen's Rising for a nice weekend sit-down read and give it the rating of FIVE OUT OF FIVE STARS!
