This book takes off running from the beginning, introducing
a back-story of war and tragedy, an internally powerful heroine, and a creative
universe with jinni (wish granting Arabian mythological creatures.). What is
the conflict? Nalia the last of her kind, the royalty of Arjinna, is enslaved
in the slave trade of sorts in the human world. What does she want? Freedom.
How is she going to get it? Steeling the bottle and working with one of her
worst enemies.
Nalia is such a lovable
and three dimensional heroine. This book also consists of totally terrifying despicable
villains like the monster Ramon, conflicting love interests, and magic. Heads
up, there is a slight cliff hanger ending to induce the need to read the next
book in the series. I give it four stars!
